Peabody Hotel, Memphis

I stayed here in November 2008 and was very impressed with this beautiful old hotel. Stunning lobby the likes of which you virtually never see anymore. Clean, carefully tended rooms with the cute “duck” theme reflected in everything from the towels to the duck-shaped soaps in the bathroom etc. Diligent responsive staff at valet stand and concierge desk.

I would give anything to spend a vacation in a hotel like this one. And when I think that there are people having so much money that they can afford to rent a hotel room for more than 1 year. My friend's wife was preparing some moving boxes so I asked her where is she going. She said that she'll go to a hotel for like 2 months or so, cause she had a fight with her husband.

I stayed in a hotel very similar to this in Paris. I love these hotels with an old-fashioned feeling to them, with crystal chandeliers and a European flavor. It's on my list now.

I stayed for a couple of nights last August with my fiancé at the Peabody Hotel, and I was very pleased with it. If I would choose a word to describe it, that would be “class”. You’ll find it everywhere, in each detail, the lights, the architecture, the interior design, the plants, everything is carefully fitted. It reminded me of one of the hotels in Chicago I stayed at, the old and carefully restored ones. A definite must visit for business and leisure alike.

I think it is all very interesting. If it is not very expensive with all the best because we're finding good locations. For the rest of the trip with our family.
