I am personnaly sticking to Webwag ? For two reasons: I am the founder, and above all with the hundreds of feeds installed, the Start pages users you mentioned now surf on their start page as they used to surf on the web during the pre-Google era. Too much time wasted. Very boring. I have to read tens of tabs and hundred of links such as we surfed on the web ten years ago.

Webwag will soon launch a new round of innovation in this area. Stay tuned on our www.blog.webwag.com :)

That's a great tip, Franck -- thanks for mentioning that. And I appreciate you giving up your beach time on our behalf :-)

If your Netvibes is a bit slow because of the number of feeds you have you can try to check the "Don't Preload Modules on hidden tabs" option in the Settings. It'll save some CPU.
And instead going to the beach we spent our summer rewriting completely our backend to provide a much faster experience. We're still correcting some bugs and should release it (with a couple of surprises) in the next days...

Well this is annoying. I actually *do* mostly use Google Reader for my feed aggregation needs, and now with the update, we have the usual "Everybody go play with this for a day before you forget about it" syndrome like we have with everything on TechMeme.

Seems Google was caught unawares by this, because now when I -- a *regular* GReader user -- actually wants to use it, it's all slow and hanging on me. How much longer do I have to stare at the "Loading..." beaker?

Thanks for nothin'.

I like Google Reader as a mobile reader too, Paul. And I'm definitely going to keep playing around with it. As for the site forgetting you, I will have to look into that -- I promise it's nothing personal :-)
